Chilly For June!
Brrr ... don't now what it's like in other parts of the UK, but here in Central Scotland the "Arctic" wind - so prevalent throughout the full month of May - has come back with a vengeance. Still, I mustn't complain, at least the sun continues to shine [for the moment, anyway!]. Let's just be thankful for small mercies.

There's a cold front sweeping in from the north Arthur, nice and warm today, no complaints from the south-east
Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

It DID born Once you get over 40 everything rapidly goes downhill, I used to have eyesight as acute as a lappet-faced vulture scanning the Masai Mara for a cadaver, now I can barely see my hand in front of my face
Nelson Mandela House in Peckham is famous Mrs M

Would you believe? - more than 6 years have elapsed since this thread of mine was closed - yet today, I've felt an irresistible urge to reopen it!
Terpe has recently been pointing out how high the temperatures are in the Southern Philippines at the moment ... but, here in Scotland, I'd be hard put to remember a time in all my 70~odd years on the planet when the mercury's dropped so low in June. Apart, that is, from 1953 on Coronation Day.
It is blinkin' Brr!

It wasn't bad up here, to be fair. Just a bit overcast.
I was due for a bike ride today, but my fortnightly 'sinus headaches' meant enthusiasm was lacking.
Tomorrow !

It's noticeably cooler this year where I am. We've had a few nice days, very humid on Thursday but too chilly to have dinner comfortably in the garden last evening. Where's the sunshine gone?
