Waiting in vain...
My life here in Manila is very lonely. I live alone here because I am from the province and I have to work. I cry everyday because I'm missing my family and my fiance. We have'nt started our visa application yet because we are still preparing all the documents that we need. I don't even have close friends here because after work, I just go home to my flat and rest. No social life for me.
I am missing my him so much now....

Where are you in manila? and don't you have any neighbors or room mates? find a hubby like cross stitch, etc.. You can also try playing MMORPG (online games) so you could meet people or just enjoy the game.
Whats holding you back to have a social life?

Dear Faith...
You dont have to worry or anything... Just think that this is just yet the beginning...
Once you are here in the UK, you will feel a bit lonely or maybe shocked, or more Homesick because you are oceans apart from your family... You may gain friends but it will take time, you will miss more and more your family... But then this is case to case basis (even if you are with your fiance), some of us here adjusted easily (lucky them! so brave! hehe)...
Let us say this is your stepping stone... your practice test... the trial period...
I pray that you will be ok somehow... Manila isnt very far from your family home (still in the Philippines)
Cheer up!

You mean the rest of you have gold pavements outside of london.
Faith Zobels words are very true. The best suggestion i can think of is keep busy practise and refine your English skills, learn about the area you will move to (will help you once there) Use this time to make your live better in the future good luck and take careOh lord why did you make so many clothes and shoe shops

Faith, if you feel lonely in Manila where everyone speaks your language, what more in a new culture? "Culture shock" is something that you must seriously consider.
