However, it's my understanding that she's actually been informed by senior [not so] civil servants *there that her of vetoing the UK's majority vote is unlikely to appease EU Commissioners and other bureaucrats - who are already upset over the decision of the nation as a whole.

Besides ... ... the undernoted link goes on to indicate there're no guarantees the Westminster Government would sanction a second Scottish Referendum, and - even in the event it did - an independent Scotland would need to reapply for EU membership as a separate country.
