Philippine postal service is driving me nuts!
Jesus Christ how long does it take to post something from UK to Philippines. It was my wifes birthday in August and the package took 6 weeks to deliver first class air mail, so it arrived 5 weeks late. And now sending over some documents so she can apply for a spouse visa.
But this time I put a tracker on it so I can track its progress. And with in 2 days it was already in Philippines and the message is now stuck on "package is now in Philippines, waiting to be delivered" its been on that for 2 weeks. Argh God, they need to sort out there postal service. Its not like my wife lives in a remote area, she lives in Cavite just outside Manila.
I've posted stuff to Hong Kong through Royal Mail and its taken 5 days max with signed for international.
Rant over, can anybody tell me if there is a quicker way to send stuff to Philippines.

FED EX
Your letter would get there quicker if you used a homing pidgeon, compared to the postal service in PI. With the added bonus that the pidgeon doesnt go thru your mail to take anything they might consider of value for themselves, so be bright and don't send bank details, money, items of value etc. etc. thru the Philippines postal service.Wena&Russ

I've told before of sending a package to Ruby a couple of days after we met online. We received the package after I had alread sold up in the UK and moved to Phils (8 months later)! Yes, mail deliveries are slow. As far as I can make out, the postie accumulates mail for about a month before he brings it to the house!

We were receiving birthday cards and bank statements between 8 days and 2 weeks by ist class to Cavite so not too bad in our case.

The further away from Manilla you are, the slower the donkey gets!

One of my relatives cleverly decided to send dollars (that's right - cash!) which was (predictably) intercepted. Now, no post gets through at all.
