Heatwave? What Heatwave?
... warmest September day for 105 years? ... you're joking!
Perhaps in parts of the South of England ... maybe. But certainly not up to much in central Scotland - - where it's been pretty miserable.
And ... ... it seems we're not alone!

Lovely here, 30 degs or so. Some clouds threatened a storm for a bit but nothing happened, so I cut the lawn after work.

Mind you, through in Dundee, where I had an early Audiology appointment, they'd a fair bit of ... yet that's only about 25 miles distant.
Although on our return to Perth, it was still !

I saw the weather reports on Al Jazeera today. L
It was mentioned that London reached temperatures of 30 deg C
Well it caught my attention. Especially as it's middle of September.
We reached 27/28 C today.

I just wish this years rainy season will stop.
Got someone starting a new roof and drainage system on our front porch which leaks a lot.
So much so that I can't use the area for painting, DIY activities, or relaxing with a cold beer and watching the world go by.

If I'm honest I do enjoy the different seasons.
When we lived in Yokohama we would get fairly predictable seasons. Four of them and all different.
If I had the spare cash for a long holiday that would be my first choice. The added benefit of enjoying freshly prepared Japanese speciality foods would be irresistable for us.
Much less cost than flying to UK and only a few hours away too.

Ah well ... ... for the second year running, it seems England has enjoyed more summery weather than we've had up here. But then, we're renowned for our stunning scenery, so I'll just have to accept one cannot expect to have everything.
However, yesterday - it has to be said - our weather was absolutely beautiful ... just perfect!
