been there the place is awesome, you can get ship from manila but i think it's a 12 hour journey ()..we fly from manila to busuanga (coron) and from the airport you can get a van for 150pp to coron town.there are plenty of accommodation you can choose from.you can hire a tour operator to book all your activities, lodging and tranport for you and i recommend coron wonders(we did ours) they are the best but you can do all the the above on your own as well.island hopping is way better than El Nido and much cheaper....much visit are Mt.Tapyas,Barracuda Lake,Kayangan Lake,Lusong Coral garden and shipwreck....bring plenty of sunscreen protection coz im sure you dont want to get out of water...

I followed your link Fred, very interesting place
Not sure why that poster called it Busuanga, had me thinking for a while.
We've been keen to get there since we first heard about it back in 2003.
We just haven't been able to set aside the time needed.
Those photo's are just great. It looks a heavenly place to spend some nice chillax time.
Hope you and the family have a special time there.

If you're going from Bohol, Fred, your best bet would be to get a ferry to Cebu then fly onto Busuanga (airport) with Cebu Pacific.

Coron... the divers' paradise!!! I suggest you spend more time to explore Palawan. I have been to Coron for a diving week early last year, it isn't a romantic place like the famous (for foreigners) Boracay. How I miss the nicoise salad of Bistro Coron. My fiance and I will be going to Palawan as a part of our back packing trip all over the Philippines.

Hi Fred,
Ive been there, its perfect for you and your family not crowded and islands are reserved and protected. You need at least 4 days to maximize your tour. We stayed in a resort at the town proper called Princess of Coron. We actually avail a package that includes island transfers, food for 2 days and an overnight stay in Malcapuya Island (the island is heaven).
the island hopping covers all the beautiful in Coron. the Baracuda island, twin lake etc.. i can send you the itinerary that we used of you want...
we did freediving and snorkeling
sharing some pix

I'm thinking of getting the boat from Mindoro to Coron after visiting PG, but Coron is just one place on a lengthy list so it might have to wait.
