Please help, any idea UK plane tickets paid in Philippines....
Hello guys,
I need ur advice pls. I am planning to purchase hubby's plane tickets here in RP with PAL using his card. It is way cheaper for return tickets
(LHR-MLA) purchased here in Phils than the one purchased in UK due to tax difference (difference is roughly £400).. My question is can hubby use the tickets without issues when he exit UK? Am worried they might ask for additional tax fee.
Thank you guys

If you can purchase tickets on your country's website for cheaper than the UK website, I would snap them up!!
It's either a glitch or when you actually try to buy the tickets it will add the tax on before paying for them. It might even redirect you to the UK website or not allow you to buy them when finalising the purchases. If you really can get those tickets and manage to do it, there is nothing more anyone can charge you.
Good luck.I think I might have a look myself

Thank you Robbie. I reserved the return tickets already with PAL it says all in £1, 000.40... I tried to ask hubby to retrieve reservation ref # but he can't retrieve it in UK! So I will pay it and send the e-ticket to him. I always try to find ways to save few quid!
Well, I hope this trick works!

£1,000 ?
Normally about £6-700 return incl taxes for a decent airline when purchased in UK (economy class)...just for one return ticket to Manila though.

£1000 is helluva lot! When we purchased our tickets from Dumaguete to Manchester both our tickets were less than £1000, we just called at a few local travel agents in Dumaguete until we found the cheapest, but all the prices were very similar to each other!
