    The ten day wait

From applying for a marriage licence to receiving it, is it ten calendar days or ten working days?

Every search i've done just comes up with 10 days

Best to ask the town hall in question and many can speed up matters if their are special needs it seems or start the ten days before the foriegn national turns up.

Happened for us and many others i have read about.

It depends, if you knew somebody from the city hall you can ask from them if they can speed it up, usually they allowed it if the guy has been here already and it would be his 2nd visit by the time you applied for the marriage license.

we got ours for 4 days that is because he was here last february 2008, and i have friend who is working in the licensing office
