How does this rep thing work then
I have these scales that have apeared when i click them it says i have 5 points ....how does this all work?

god knows... but i know i got rep points for starting a thread (which people liked)..... the boss will let you know and i guess if you had any he would take them off you for asking

The scales are for approval or disapproval of a post - its a bit like a community brownie points system really, so you can add to someone's reputation, or give them a disapproval if you think the post is pants (as in the majority of Keith Admin's case)

if some one thinks you've posted something interesting or helpful they can give you a rep , i think you also get one for every number of x posts you make

No I searched before asking but the scales only appear on my own posts , if they appeared on everyones I could understand that I click on their post to give rep but the scales are only on mine , when I clicked to see what happens it says I have 5 points.
How then do I give somone else Rep?

on your post top right on the green band it says #15 and then report post a triangle symbol
on mine above it says #14 then the scales then report post and that is the same on any thread hence my original post.

Maybe it's because your 'member' is not big enough
