children's support
hi everyone..
my husband is a Dutchman and i am a Filipino...we have a daughter (1 year old)..my hubs is working here.
i have read a lot about children's benefit, however i am hesitant if my daughter has the right to claim for it because we just moved in here (Belfast) and her nationality is Dutch
any opinion out there?
thanks.

Hi yes you should be allowed the child allowance if your husband is paying the natinal insurance and tax there, just as many of the eastern europeans claim for their children back in their own country, the british government just makes up the difference from what they get paid in their country to the same as it is here, so should be the same for you even if you already recieve dutch family allowance, I should imagine UK will just make up difference in how much you recieve.
