You know, if 10 months ago we knew what we know now about Covd 19 the whole world locked down for six months, it may well have disappeared by now.

Interesting read in the Telegraph today about the origins of Covid-19 and other nasties such as Ebola and HIV from bats and monkeys to humans.

Just over a year ago, we ate at a late-night "locals" street food stall in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh city), plastic stools on the pavement.
We ordered by pointing at a picture of what looked like Stir-Fried Chicken.
No idea what we ate, it was not chicken, it had short ribs it might have been rat.
We ate half of it just to be polite, then paid and headed back to the hotel.

That's history.
Latest news is that Boris is trying to get English pubs open again, and that all over 40's will be vaccinated by Easter.

Actually, those few hundred extra deaths mentioned in the previous post have since brought the total to 125,464 ... so I wasn't far out by my reckoning.

Still, whoever would have imagined it, just a year ago.
We were 'social distancing' in our clean, warm, local river yesterday...

No idea what the chap in the photo is up to, we need to stop all this pussyfooting around and get the pubs open again.
