Question Proposed British Citizenship For NHS & Social Care Staff

Home Secretary, Priti Patel has raised hopes that key foreign workers in the NHS & Social Care Sectors could be awarded British Citizenship as a special "thank you" for putting their own health at risk in their unstinting dedication to saving the lives of those stricken by the coronavirus.

follows in the wake of an announcement by Boris Johnson ... which will exempt those same workers from the controversial £400 per annum health surcharge!

I will believe it when i see it Arthur, and as for the £400 IHS thats going up in October, now while i fully agree with the IHS, i personally think its now being used to help reduce immigration by increasing it way way above inflation, only last april it was doubled from £200 to £400 per annum, now its being raised by another £224 per annum in October this year, so anyone applying for a spouse visa or similar will have to pay £1560 up front on top of the usual visa fees.

We current British Citizens and our chosen partners are being blatantly discriminated against, while some immigrants are being 'honoured' for simply doing their job.

Sorry, but I disagree with it.

Simply further evidence of the unfairness and stupidity in my home country, that has extended into decades now.

There would be no need of foreign immigrant workers in the NHS if it was run properly in the first place anyway.
