ILR time
Well now that Christmas is out of the way, it's time to focus on my wifes ILR application. Not really looked in to what we need to do yet, but think her application is due February/early March. So going to do my research now. That research includes a post here, just incase people are lurking with advice to offer like they have in the past... If not then I will google until google can't help no more!
Happy new year also whilst I am here.

If you have got all the way to ILR then you have done all the hard work with the language exam and Life in the UK. We did the IRL a couple of years ago and it was straight forward as the questions are the same as the FLR. Just get your hand in your pocket and splash the cash, one plus is that you will not have to pay the NHS surcharge this time.

That Life in the UK is a nasty one. I lot of the questions on there even i could not answer correct. My wife passed it on the third attempt.
Fingers crossed for you.

There have, unfortunately, been many changes to the immigration requirements over the 11 years since my wife came here ... ... not least, the *format of the Life In The UK Test *which, in turn, stopped me from responding to this thread sooner for fear of passing on outdated information.
However, I imagine your wife will already have a copy of the latest Test Handbook available and, by reading and re-reading its content, I'm confident she'll be successful.
ALL THE BEST to her a week come Saturday.

There are internet sites for UK test. I found one for my wife that had 48 sets of 24 questions which covers most of the questions . She just went through all of them over and over again till she got at least 80% right. It did take a couple of months , but she passed very easy.
