Nothing To Report
... try as I might ... ... I cannot seem to come across any news of interest to whet the appetite.
Maybe it's time someone else tried.

Hi Arthur, I can report that weather conditions here in Manila have not improved in how many weeks now.
Typhoon Henry was followed by Typhoon Inday and now we are stuck with Typhoon Josie.
Terrible floods everywhere.

Wow, sorry to hear that Peter hope you're all ok. I can never understand why we never hear about the terrible conditions you are suffering at the moment, always have to pick up news of Philippines on such as Al Jazeera. Hope things get better for you soon, please update us of any serious changes, keep safe.

Nothing to report of interest.
I pop in here most days for a read. But my life has been mainly work. I've been acting teamleader whilst one got pushed sideways to another one of our sites on a disciplinary. And another has been on annual leave. So been covering two shifts at once and learning the role at the same time.
I must have done well because I have been offered the role full time.
Although when I left Heathrow airport and my job as a teamleader and moved to Leicestershire, I didn't want another teamleader role, been quite happy plodding along with no stress day to day.....

I'm in a similar situation to Slip. I may have forgotten to mention I came back from Phils in early May with a Plan to come out of retirement in order to meet the financial requirements for a visa application. I was lucky enough to find a job with a minimum of 10 hours per week. Since that time, the minimum I've done is 20+; the first month was 85 hours, and this month I'm on target to do well over 100 hours, so that will meet the financial requirement plus some. , I do try to look in here most days, but honestly don't have much time, what with the job and chatting with Jan, it's difficult, but I hope everyone on here is keeping well.

Part of our house was flooded, but no permanent damage done, or losses.
I've had to make a few alterations to the place, but hopefully those sort of extreme conditions won't be repeated.
Most of the time I'm kept pretty busy, but I do look in here most days.
