'Rivers Of Blood'
Plans for the BBC to broadcast Enoch Powell's controversial - yet far-sighted - 1968 speech are seemingly under threat amidst protests from the politically~correct brigade.

Whilst with much of what he predicted ... including the folly of 's ill~advised entry into the [then] EEC ... he'd earlier gone down in my estimation when, as Health Minister, he had refused to acknowledge the terrible harm done to the foetuses formed in pregnant women who'd been prescribed the experimental anti~sickness drug, "Thalidomide".

What was the reason for the blown-out-of-proportion rivers of blood speech? A couple of people in his constituency complaining about their West Indian neighbours
I'm not a fan of mass immigration but it's unfair to point the finger solely in that direction especially as not all immigrants are Muslim. The blame for the bloodshed that has occurred in this country since Wolverhampton's own answer to Nostradamus kindly shared his prediction is more to do with land disputes and religion than anything.
I don't even know why the BBC are broadcasting this. Maybe they just want to stir up a hornets nest.
