    '*208'

... strange how the mind works. Well ... ... mine at any rate.

... y'know, I could've sworn I'd mentioned on here - at least once ... possibly more - about there being a small hotel with the *title name, less than a couple of hundred yards up the road from where I live. Can't seem to find anything using the forum search facility, though!

    * place had been located practically opposite the driveway to Perth Crematorium ... making it rather [unsurprisingly] a popular venue as a "watering hole" for funeral goers after paying their last respects.

So, there was I, ... having observed beforehand, this post would be my 23,208th ... deciding it'd be an appropriate time to type out a sort of "swansong" to an "institution" which, if memory serves me correctly, has endured for most of the [nearly] 50 years I've occupied my present humble abode. And one which has recently been flattened in the name of progress. Progress which entails the construction of an upgraded
city bypass roadway system cutting through
parts of the crematorium's Garden of Remembrance - much, of
course, to the chagrin of local residents whose loved ones' ashes are strewn
    within its grounds.

I had to read these post several times until I got the gist. Otherwise I'd have accused you of waffling incoherently, Arth.

Anyway, it looks a bit rough this place. Probably been the venue for a Glasgow Kiss or two over the years. Maybe as many as 208!
