Philippines registered nurse seeking work in UK

A 25 year old male cousin of my wife who is a Registered Nurse in The Philippines (Bachelor of Science Nursing) is considering seeking a nursing post in UK.

I would be very grateful to anyone who has experience in that field who could give some advice.

    Many thanks
    John

John put simply, the first step is that she requires an IELTS level 6.5 or above, then she could apply via an agency or directly to a Hospital, she would then need to apply for the relevant Visa, and Im sure they would help her with the application, she has to register with the NMC, Iv given you two links below, the first is The NMC and tells you all that you need to know Costs etc etc.

All the Filipinos working at the hospital I work at were recruited by the NHS trust. They liased with two agencies out in the Philippines and 3 of our staff flew out and held interviews over 3 days. I'm not sure how it would work for a single Filipino trying to get work here. Maybe they have friends already working here in the NHS who know if their trusts are looking to recruit from overseas.

I remember it was a tough interview and they had their air fares and expenses paid but only if they passed the IELTS.

Out of 250 only about 40 succeeded

Interesting read as a follow on to that:

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Yup, cheating in a nursing exam in the Philippines . That article is basically about Victorino Chua, the nurse of death. His mum died recently and he wasn't allowed to fly to Pinas to attend the burial.
