Elderly Couple's Engagement Proves It's Never Too Late For Love
https://www.today.com/news/elderly-c...-viral-t113959 ...
's true! Although, I was engaged twice:
Firstly to a woman (5 years' my senior) who became my wife 15 months later, and to whom I was married until her premature passing 24 years later.
Secondly, to a much younger woman I scarcely knew - a BIG mistake - this lasted for all of two weeks, due to her feelings of possessivew insecurity.
Finally, as most regulars know, I corresponded online with my present wife, Myrna for a whole year before going to the Philippines to meet her ... by which time she was middle-aged and widowed, like me, while I was already "on the cusp" of old age at sixty~four. Immigration Rules being as they were/still are, we bypassed any engagement, and have been happily married for nearly 9 years now.
