    United airlines

What would you take to give up your seat on one of there aircrafts if it was overbooked.
It seems they are now going to offer up to $10,000 .
I am going to try and book all my flights with them from now on hoping they have over booked.

Could be a new career, plan to fly JFK to Boston or DC on a Friday evening flight. Nobody else will want to give up their seats, kerching.

However, how much of this will be in United Airlines travel vouchers? When they tell you "£200 to wait for the next flight", they mean in vouchers for future travel usually. Crafty.

There are not many non-Americans foolish enough to fly United. The only people I know who do are US work colleagues who are building up their status (same applies to major chain hotels such as Marriott and Hilton). I tend to use SouthWest or Alaskan or Virgin America for US Domestic if I can. Meanwhile over here in Europe I've given up trying to get status and choose a reliable/safe airline on a preferred route over points any day.
