Planning the next trip to the Philippines
Anyone in the process of planning a trip soon to the Philippines.
If so has the recent activities put you off going.
If the area where this has just happened is your distination too, well are you having second thoughts.
Maybe it's just like going anywhere in Europe or even here in England, there are places you avoid simple as that.
So for me it has not put me off, but for others well it's your choice and there are more places to see on this planet too.

Of course im sure it makes most of us think about going to those areas, but if we really think about it, it could have been anywhere the same possibilities apply anywhere in the World now. Someone could hijack one of your lorries Steve at any time, then we would have a situation where lives would again be at risk basically if any of us are in any crowded area then we are all at risk, and possible targets.
I suppose what would be more worrying for me would be that Jan tells me that they had a 5.5 magnitude earthquake in Bukidnon yesterday.

Those are both on my to do list Dumaguete because it rained so much when we were there earlier in the year, and Siquijor because due to that weather the Ferries were cancelled so we couldnt get there.
But Im told there are certain no go areas in Birmingham after night fall, so actually the Philippines is no worse, and in fact much better in many cases than other Countries to visit.

Nothing puts me off travelling, i could walk out my front gate and get hit by a car. Life is for living. Take precautions, but don't get scared.
Saying that Harlene and Kianna may be off to Philippines in September with her Mum when she goes back. I may follow in October for Two weeks just stay in Manila to bring them home.

Looking for a cheap ticket right now. (Always looking for a cheap ticket. lol ). May have to wait til October for my next trip though. Tickets are sooo expensive during UK summer months.
Hope I don't get 5 bullets pumped into my face like my American neighbour did a couple of months back... otherwise, no worries.

Bit of sad news from siquijor Michael, you know how insular the place is,maybe your wife knows the family....
http://buzz.definitelyfilipino.net/a...-than-victims/
Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Maritess does know about what happened but doesn't know those involved, she said one girl was from Manila and the other one from Dumaguete, the family and many locals are really upset about the incident and Siquijor is in shock as it seems it's the first time such as this has ever happened on the Island, very sad indeed.
