Rises Of Php1,000 In SSS Monthly Pensions Confirmed

For the first time in 6/7 years Social Security System (Private Sector) workers can look forward to a pension increase.

It won't be a rise of Php2,000 that BOTH Duterte and SSS members had called for. But the President himself finally agreed to half of this sum initially ... on the recommendations of his Budget and Finance Secretary.

It is, however, my understanding that there'll be a hike of 1.5 % in monthly premiums w.ef. May ... which, hopefully, will enable pensions to be brought into line with the Php2,000 level on a "staggered" basis, by the end of the current Administration's tenure of office.

... anyway ... ... the agreed amount can certainly be considered a step in the right direction.
