R.I.P. Miriam Defensor Santiago

Former Senator Miriam Santiago died peacefully in her sleep today ( 29 September ) at St. Luke's Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City.


She had announced she was suffering from lung cancer in July 2014. Around a tenth of such cancers are in non-smokers, like her - they usually have a better outlook than those occurring in smokers.

I was a big fan of hers.
What a remarkable life she lived and what a remarkable lady she was.

The late Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago has been laid to rest by her loved ones, friends and supporters Sunday afternoon at the Loyola Memorial in Marikina.

We took a walk out this afternoon to the Loyola Memorial in Marikina as it's an easy couple of minutes stroll away.
