Where does he get the right to slaughter innocent people anyway
I don't particularly like drugs or people that sell and use them but these people are still human beings
I would imagine most of these types have made bad life choices and hanged around with the wrong people
Duterte thinks he has the right to just to kill them off as if they are not even human
His remarks about Hitler and the Jews for me just shows his level of education
China has backed him up but no surprises there with their level of human rights atrocities
He even seems to be reveling in the fact that many people just see him as a mas murderer

" i will be happy to slaughter them" what normal person makes remarks like that

Misinterpreted again?? If thats true, who is responsible?
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — President Rodrigo Duterte was not likening himself to Adolf Hitler. The President was just responding to critics who compared him to the Nazi leader because of the thousands of alleged drug suspects killed under his watch. This is how Presidential Spokesman Ernesto Abella clarified Duterte's latest round of controversial remarks — now gaining worldwide attention again.

Was he misinterpreted yet again somewhere?

Tbh, Fred ... ... it is my true belief, DU30's critics - and other detractors - are reading far too much into (as well as being all too readily influenced by) the relentless stream of black propaganda churned out by the media ... which, for the most part, is owned by the "Yellow Mafia", who are forever hell~bent on tarnishing his moral scruples - which they, themselves, have proved, time and again, to've been lacking in, throughout their lengthy tenures of office.

Sure, guys ... he does have a reputation for being outspoken.
But there again, if you refer to my previous post, BOTH of you will realise how (as per usual ) his latest remarks have been grossly exaggerated (even twisted! ) in the press.
Yes, ... more power to his policies.

I am talking about the people being murdered every day by Duterte's gago police force
These victims are Innocent until proved guilty in a court of law with a fair trial
Not murdered by the Police or undercover cops just because some clown points the finger in their direction
Duterte can say anything and his misguided supporters will try and defend him
http://news.abs-cbn.com/news/10/01/1...them-troubling
Another day another stupid comment and he does have some comedy value now i will give you that
I doubt if we will have wait very long until another ridiculous comment from Duterte !

Not much use in a court room.
That said..Over here it has always been easy to get away with murder..The going rate just a few years ago was around 5k.. About 75 Quid...
Shabu dealers always had the most money to make use of that sordid murder racket and took 1000`s upon 1,000`s of lives either to wipe out competitors or to murder addicts that owed them too much as an example to their other debtors.. 1000`s also murdered by broke addicts extrajudicially via armed robberies, break ins and ride by shootings..
In our province, full face blacked out motorcycle helmets are banned.. There`s a good reason for that.

What do you know of the justice system here? Do you understand how it works?
Read this thread..Its about one of our members here that got banged away on remand with her Brit husband. http://filipinaroses.com/showthread....itish+detained
Justice here is non existent...Someone files a case with 2/3 unscrupulous witnesses on a non bailable offence and you are banged up on remand for a good 5-6 years before you are sentenced.
If you pay the Police, and the witnesses before the case is filed you are a smart man because you will probably be released... If you want to tough it out to prove your innocence then think of the movie "Midnight express" because you will experience the real 3D version..
If you believe that R.P justice is the same as UK justice you need to wake up and smell the coffee.

I agree with London Manila:
"I prefer justice rather than death squads "
This is not say there is a preference for what 'may euphuistically be described as justice' in many countries.

Of course journalists that support Duterte could never be described as being corrupt

The real truth.
DILG: Philippine jails congested by more than 500%
The congestion in Philippine jails is worsening with the increasing number of people being arrested amid the Duterte administration's war on drugs.
Speaking on ANC's "Talkback," Department of the Interior and Local Government undersecretary for public safety Jesus Hinlo said the rate of congestion in jails is increasing nationally, with current congestion estimated at around 507 percent.
"In a jail facility that could fit around 10 people based on international standards there are now 50 inmates being placed in that facility," Hinlo said.

(Back in 2014 during Aquino`s humanitarian reign)
Where were the human rights lot back then?
PH has slowest justice system in the world
the Maguindanao massacre where 58 poor souls, including 32 media workers, were murdered; and the Ozone Disco Club fire in Quezon City that claimed the lives of 162 persons, most of them young men and women celebrating their graduation.
In the Ozone Disco fire, the trial of those responsible for the tragedy took almost 19 years, much longer than the sentences imposed on them by the court. In the Maguindanao massacre, the court is still hearing the bail petitions of some of the accused, five years into the trial.

Human rights for hire
In the Philippines, the call to respect human rights is being used to impede President Duterte’s war against drugs and criminality. His critics accuse PDU30 of unleashing a national death squad with impunity. Some wonder where civility has gone, when the madness will end, and why most Filipinos lustily cheer news of drug-related killings.

Fred this approach has all been done before and has never worked anywhere in the long term
Granted there may be a few gains to start with but that will never be maintained over the long term
Its not rocket science either you kill one drug dealer one week and the very next week another
dealer will fill his shoes
Some medical help to get these addicts off drugs would be a much more prudent approach rather than simply just murdering people
And yes murdering people whether they are drug dealers or drug users is a human rights issue
-
6th October 2016 #264
Yep,but its not just about drugs...Far from it.
Believe it or not,its drug money that runs politics here..Thats why DU30 has postponed ALL barangay elections..He says he want most of the drug money gone before campaign funding is sought..
No more Mayors,Brgy Caps,Councilors elected with any connection to drug money...Thats the target anyway.. I hope its successful.
Look at this...Mayor of Leyte just been arrested..
6 months ago this would have been completely unbelievable!!

I will take your word for it Fred that they were the best candidates available and that being
the offspring of Duterte had nothing to do with it
History has proved that people can be manipulated into voting for anything
With enough promotion and wild claims like they can rid the Philipines of drugs within 6 months
