Pinay relationship leads to suicide from a Bacolod mall for German man

Just read this story although it happened earlier this year.

It just demonstrates not to be too trusting and generous with women you don't really know. Looks like he spent everything he had on an engagement ring for her.

Looks to me he had very little money from the outset.
Certainly not sufficient for a lengthy stay.

The theft of his laptop should have sounded alarm bells.
    Infatuation can be dangerous.

Its a very sad story indeed..
I had a really good German mate here that died this year... First thing he had to do on his many return trips from work abroad was to go to the Pawn shop and pay to get his laptop out that she had pawned again and again.. Love is blind.
In his will he gave her 10,000 a month for 5 years...After that, she`s on her own...Good riddance.

Apparently he spent 2 million peso's on the engagement ring. Maybe he thought he had to spend that much or risk losing her.

If the P2 million is true it seems that was all he had in his life.
    What a sad sad story.

Stuff like this happens more than you'd imagine.

Tell me about it. I was infatuated with a woman in my younger days. It's like a drug where you lose all sense of reality. Fortunately I pulled myself together and walked away. That was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do because it hurt like hell. It taught me a lesson though. Never get too emotionally involved with a woman who doesn't feel the same way as you. Easier said than done but it does make you far stronger as a person if you can overcome that particular situation.

Why is it everyone else can see it but the person involved cannot or is too afraid to say he can but there is nothing he can do about it,Love or infatuation i mean.
I love My Ems and i would give her anything too, but when she does ask i say let me think about it and i do think about it, infact i am still thinking about it now 6 years later

    Simply because love is blind.

Yep, easy to spot as an outsider. Not so easy when you're the one wearing the blindfold though is it Michael

Yes we all have been through it, and many are gluttons for punishment.
But I shall never go through it again, many mistake sex for love and sharing for what can I get out of them.
Now don't get me wrong what suits one may not suit another and as long as you or them are happy what's it got to do with other's . It's when other people start to get involved, that's when the problems start

Appropriate article in the Daily Wail this morning: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/ar...s-age-you.html

Seems to me like the guy is enjoying himself and knows he hasn't got long left so can either rot in a carehome or go out with a bang (pun intended). I wonder whether his daughter has bothered to visit him in Thailand instead of viewing things through a 56 year old British woman's perspective

Pretty much guaranteed for anyone with feelings. Infatuation though is stepping it up a notch.

Fair play to him. Beats being holed up in a UK care home watching crap on TV and rain dribbling down the windows. Whether or not his wife is genuine is another question but if I was single at that age I probably wouldn't give a toss so long as she was there for me until my dying days. He's had experience with several Thai women though so I'd imagine he's quite clued up.
