Ken Clarke Urges A Change Of Rules Relating To 'Public Danger' Criminals
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-36411638
Eh? ... ken this, Mr Clarke ... 's NOT gonna work. ... investing Parole Boards with powers to discharge long~term inmates - of prisons and/or high security psychiatric institutions - who've been "banged up" indefinitely on account of their being considered a DANGER to public safety, I'm afraid, ISN'T one
of your brighter s!
Indeed, to my mind, such a recommendation conjures up the notion that, in your dotage, you're becoming almost as soft as those suede hush puppies you're so fond of wearing. When, in fact ... ... surely the BEST solution to the problem of overcrowding in penal establishments would be the restoration of the death penalty for those who pose such a threat.
