Gumtree
Well I have been trying to get rid of a mattress, its very good condition but who wants a 2nd hand one,
I could not get it in the car and the council wants £10 to fetch it and get this there is a waiting time of over 4 weeks to get it collected even though they take your money straight away,
Anyway. Someone mentioned Gumtree ,so I put a add on there and it's gone today, I am so pleased that this could help someone and it's help me get rid of this great big mattress too

I use 'Freecycle' to get rid of such items...

There's a website called freegle. I used it to get boxes and bubble wrap for when we move. Basically it's stuff people want to recycle and keep out of landfill. Best thing about it is it's all given away for free. I only used it because I couldn't believe the price of cardboard boxes for moving.

Had a wardrobe clearout the other week. Managed to fill two bin bags which went to the clothing bank.
