    Smile Newbie

    Good day!

I am Mylar, a Filipina and married to a British national. My husband and I will start our journey to close distance between us. I hope this forum would help us to go through some things that we need to. Sometimes internet doesn't tell us all, so I rather ask my fellow Filipinas to know how to close distance smoothly, confidently and exciting.

    Mylar

    Interesting name...PET?
    Welcome

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

........................ 's true ... one of my aunts was from Lumley, near Newcastle; she lived most of her life in South Shields, where her husband, my Dad's youngest sibling, had a Chemist's shop - and I always remember her calling us "pet".

Sorry, it was the name I was referring to. I thought that 'Tawi' was the name of a fresh water fish in Tagalog, and hence the irony.
    I could be wrong........ again

    This is getting confusing.

I thought 'Tawi' was a bloke from Essex.

I know the Northeast like the back of my hand, after 40 years wandering about the place and visiting clients with my job.

    Great people !

Oh well ... ... you'll know better than me, being from the locality.

Funnily enough, my cousin - daughter of the said aunt - now lives in Sunderland ... has done since getting married in 1976.

Tawi is the name of a company in Northampton but Tawi2 stands for Tawi-Tawi - the southernmost province in the Philippines.
