Theres a few guys on the forum who might have been in similar circumstance to yourself Londonn,i hope one of them can answer your query,be lucky.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

When you become a Respected Member. You need to have 75 posts and a few reps from the members here to be able to get that status.

If you mean by way of a second FLR(M) or even ILR the technically no you cannot as you need to be cohabiting.
If you can demonstrate cohabition over the regulated period by one means or another then it's possible.

So are you contemplating 'cheating' the system ?

Ok so even for the ILR, we would still have to be together then? We're looking at the second FLR now. I thought before once you get past the second FLR, spouse could probably get the ILR even if separated as will be over 5 years by then. ..

No not planning to 'cheat' but lets say I'm getting some pressure to do so. Right now I want to know what alternatives I have - and it sounds like I only have two: cheat, or she's going home.

If I'm totally honest then personally I'd find a way to follow compassion.
