Saving that length of wood
Yep i bet we men and even some women may have saved that off cut or even some sort of stick in the life time but why,
Been doing the garden and shed and the amount of wood i have saved for the just in case thing, post, decking, you name it i have saved it,
But yesterday i had a lose post and i fixed it with too pieces of off cut wood, looks good and the cost was nothing, now is that why we save it all i wonder,
Anyway of to the tip today with all the crap i have saved over the years,Last edited by Arthur Little; 21st March 2016 at 15:05. Reason: Added 'g' to spelling of length.

I used to have a block of hardwood almost wedge shaped, had it for over 25 years and I named it Duffa when asked why do I call it Duffa, I replied Duffa anything!

I do the same Steve.
All goes in the 'It'll come in' box.
Recently was able to adapt a piece of carpet gripper wood that I'd taken up and de-nailed (saved those too) to level up the new cooker.
Being practical and able to innovate and adapt is a very useful skill in the Phils too.
