I also have the GTA games. They (my son's driving games, at the time) gave me the bug originally... but I always turned my nose up. at 'driving' a car with a little game pad.

When we were together as a family in York, our garage was like a gaming youth club. lol
I had carpeted it, installed heating, and several TVs.

Just watched Italian Grand Prix, I think Lewis will be under pressure now, only 2 points above Nico with only seven more races before the end of season. C'mon Lewis don't let the championship slip away

Sometimes he's his own worst enemy when self doubt creeps in.

Have no idea what went wrong or what he was thinking....

I hope he gets some help with this..

I've always been a big fan of Lewis Hamilton.
Looks like he struggled a bit and only managed a 3rd place on the grid with his rival Nico in pole.
Looking forward to this one. Singapore is always a bit different.

    C'mon Lewis

I really don't want to go back to Singapore.

It would spoil all my childhood memories of it as a beautiful British colonial city in the 1950s. The place where I learned to read and write. Happy days and simpler times.

Very nice place Graham, but not for Lewis I'm afraid

I hope Lewis can spring back.
Seems he just wasn't able to get his car the way it needs to be during practice and qualification.

    Better luck next time Lewis

The latter part of the season will be tough going for Lewis with Daniel and Max on his heels also

Apart from the small collision off the grid, nothing really happened. It's not the most thrilling of race tracks, but that is what happens around a street course, not much opportunity for overtaking and a race is won via pitstops. That is what I find 'boring'.

You have to admire there talent's but as you say " the race is won by the people operating the computer to say come into the pits" .
Bring a mandatory time for a pit stop back

Yes its a large pig, or could be something to play a game on, or something that fits onto a window, or goes with a car

Worst thing for me is... they just sound rubbish.

A racing car with 750+bhp should sound like a monster... not a monster farting.

Oh, and wasn't it more exciting when the teams represented their COUNTRY ?

Jackie Stewart always stated in his opinion that, Juan Manuel Fangio was the greatest F1 driver ever. Once met Jackie Stewart at a Ford Dealership in Peterborough about 1980 was invited by the then Manager who lived next door to me at that time and Jackie Stewart was showing film of various races he had raced and one thing that I always remember was that he explained how important it was that an item as small as a matchstick on track could be so lethal on bends at high speed when driving on slick tyres he tried to explain what it felt like trying to control a car when driving over such tiny objects, all in all it was a great experience to meet him and listen to the amazing things he had to say about his F1 life, a very nice man indeed

Try driving on ice it's even thinner then a match, and when that's on a bend well it can be trouble

It must have been great to meet a driving legend like JS.

I do take issue with people who say that this driver was the best of all time though. Agreed, that Fangio was great 'of his era', but there have been many greats.... of their own era. 'Success' can be measured in events won, world championships gained, points in a season, like Schumacher, Senna etc etc But all time best...?

Flying back from Manila a couple of years ago I was in the Emirates lounge in Dubai, when I looked up I saw Sterling Moss and his wife sat opposite me. Did a double take but didn't want to disturb their privacy by saying hello.

    Yes you are right Steve,
At this moment in time I am the best driver around at where I work, but come tomorrow who knows who will take my place.
Let's take this a little further, my ex wife at the time was the best wife ever, but times move on and now her crown fits better on Emma's head, ok my head may fit better on a serving tray in her eyes, but do you get my drift
