RIP., [Arthur] Cliff Michelmore
... NOW it's Cliff Michelmore!
Mind you ... ... at the grand old age of 96, it's NOT altogether surprising.
For those [few] British viewers of my generation [here] he will, of course,
be BEST~remembered as presenter of BBC1's late '50s - early '60s Current Affairs programme, 'Tonight'. And I'd reckon he would've been the production's last surviving team member.

Yep... remember it well. There weren't that many telly progs to remember in those days !
Old school properly educated presenter.
RIP Cliff... at least you were lucky in having such a long life.

Cliff and his wife, Jean Metcalf, used to live in my home town, Reigate, Surrey. They were both very popular.
