Having worked on boats in the Caribbean as a teenager, Geoff Holt - a keen yachtsman - had always wanted to sail round the world.

Sadly, ... this was thwarted, when a serious accident - in which he broke his neck diving into shallow water - leaving young Geoff paralysed from the waist down at the age of 18.

Undaunted, he spent the next three decades planning to fulfil his ambition one day. Indeed, in 2007, he sailed solo around the coast of and, two years later, conquered the wild Atlantic on a twenty-metre yacht ... for which he was awarded an MBE and earned the 'Yachtsman of the Year' title.
