    Post Spouse visa requirements

Do you know anyone who has first hand experience in this kind of visa? I'm trying to figure out if I should get the fianceé visa or spouse visa and if I go for the latter, what requirements does my fiancé need to have? Thanks x

    Hi.

Fiance visa is for six months and you need to get married in those six months. No work is permitted. After the six months you then apply for a spouse visa. This route is more expensive as you pay for two visas plus NHS surcharge on the spouse visa.

Spouse visa lasts 33 months and work is permitted.

    Requirements are:

    No recourse to public funds.

Minimum salary of sponsor of £18600 for a minimum of six months at time of application for a single applicant. Higher if applying with children. There are other options (for example for those on certain benefits or self employed) but please look here.

Suitable accommodation with permission of the owner for the applicant to reside there.

TB test from the approved test clinic in Manila.

IELTS english exam A1 or B1 from an Approved test centre.

Proof of relationship. There are many posts here about this. Please do a search.

We got our spouse visa last year. Here is a link to what we submitted.

Hi, Hannah ... to Filipina Roses; as you'll see, one of our long-established members has very kindly provided some extremely useful and informative guidelines - based on his and his own wife's experience - in order to assist you in reaching a decision as to the type of Settlement Visa likely to be BEST~suited to the needs of you and your partner.

Good Luck with whichever route you choose.

Can I get either A1 or B1 for the english exam? And do I still need to take one once i'm in the UK and will be applying for the FLR? Thank you!

And my partner got the job so it will be a few months before we finally get to be together. Hoping everything will turn out fine with the application as well. xx
