Upcoming FLR requirements and changes???

Hello Guys,

Me and my wife will be applying for FLR early next year and I have a few questions I am unsure about regarding changes etc...... been 3 years now since I went through all this lol!

Ive had a look at some threads yesterday before my account was verified that have given me questions to ask ?


My wife completed her A1 English exam at Hopkins Makati in 2012 and have seen posts mentioning these are no longer accepted and would not be good to use for FLR is this correct ? if so I assume is best to go for B1 which should cover for ILR if the expiry date is longer than the further 30 months?

Also the new NHS charge would that also apply to FLR spouse as this was not applicable in 2012 when I applied for spouse?

And also is there a guide to FLR to make sure I haven't missed anything?

Hi guys,

Sorry couple more unanswered questions I have:

Do I need to get the new BRP before applying for FLR?

And how early can I apply for FLR before visa expiry of 30 months ? Would like to get all done and ready earlier the better!
