Sending off FLR
Will be sending of the wife's FLR in the next few days in the post. It has a lot of ducuments enclosed so I was thinking of sending it "sign for". I was thinking if everyone sent it "sign for", then they could have to have someone there signing all day.
Maybe easier to send it recorded delivery.
I was just after a few opinions

Recorded delivery will be fine, pay the extra if your passports and other important docs are in there because you will not get back the full cost of replacing the items. The post office will tell you all this

We will pass all the requirements for FLR quite easily, I am just wondering what the time scale is as we have a holiday booked for late September.

Hmm ... bit late me saying this now, I realise. However, given you're going on holiday in September, you probably would've been better paying for the Premium Service. OK ... ... admittedly it costs a few hundred quid extra but, by doing so, you'd have ensured the *transaction didn't clash with your holiday dates, as *it's usually completed within hours on the same day.
Although I share your confidence in meeting all the requirements, it is always difficult to predict an accurate timescale for the process. Suffice to say, I hope and it's completed with ample time to spare. Good Luck!

I would definitely go for special delivery like I did for my wifes FLR 4 weeks ago cost about £8 but well worth it fully insured for £500 and guaranteed next day delivery.
Regarding our friends FLR she applied in April and was granted in 48 days including biometrics so just about 7 weeks.
If your application is straight forward Rory then you're looking at a similar timetable so all should be fine for your hols.
Good Luck...

We will be going on the 28th September so 12 weeks time. I would have thought that was enough time. Thanks for the reassurance Mark.

I used premium before and i waited 4 hours only, now that I am working and my brp will expire in April, I am thinking of send it via post just to be practical but if i havent received the decision after the my brp's expiry date, does that mean I cannot work or I am illegally living here hahaha
