Bid To Spy On Public 1,400 Times A Day
So, ... who ARE those 'Super Snoopers'??
Why, the police, of course. Apparently police can access the public's & email records at an alarming rate of once every two minutes ... it has emerged. And only a tiny fraction of requests - somewhere around 8% - to allow them to do this, are refused ...

Tbh ... ... it doesn't bother me personally, as I've nothing to hide. And ANY safety measures taken to protect the wellbeing of the general public - especially in these troubled times ... when the very real threat of sudden terrorist attack looms over us - are all to the good. But I daresay there will be a great many who're bound to *view *('scuse pun) such actions as a GROSS infringement of their civil liberties.
