    Windows 10 free

Soon legit users of Windows will get the free upgrade. I noticed the Windows symbol had appeared on my task bar the other day. Open it and you can register for your free upgrade when it's available.

Strange that Microsoft are giving something free?
I will need to look at the changes from Win 7 to make sure I am not jumping too quick

Yes I saw an ad for Windows 10 a couple of days ago, also one for Windows 8 last year, but I dare not click on anything in case anything changes and then I'd have no Idea what to do, I'd end up throwing the computer in the bin and buy a new one. I'll stick with my Windows 7

I have to install all pending Windows update first in my laptop to upgrade from Windows 8 to 8.1 pro. I tried updating to 8.1 and it won't allow me. This will be a long day...

I will happily be the tester if you like, Windows 8 was a disaster which made then release Windows 8.1.
Hopefully Windows 10 will be good. As for it not working pirated games, don't believe that for one second

Updates for Windows 10 will only be available to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users I think..so I really need to update to 8.1 to get 10.

Windows 10 is free for the first year, after that you pay. I'm beta testing 10 now, can't say that I'm impressed.

No, it's free as long as you take advantage of the offer within the first year. After it's been out a year and you then decide to get it you pay. So the early bird catches the worm so to speak. Retail price if you leave it till then is about £70

I just finished upgrading to Windows 8.1 and currently checking for updates. I'm sure I'd get that Windows 10 notification soon!
