Yours Truly Aged 7 in 1951/52
http://friendsreunited.co.uk/Media?n...primary-school
photo was taken at Garrioch Primary School, North Kelvinside, Glasgow in either 1951 or '52 ...
... can't remember exactly which!
But NOTE ... the former classmate who posted it on 'Friends Reunited' got the years mixed up ... because it most certainly wasn't 1962.
Well ... ... she'll be of an age with me now - an - so one can easily forgive her for the oversight.
Anyway, I'm 4th from the left in the back row!
Yup ... the NOT so wee lad with his mouth open.

You've got to be a friends reunited member to see the pic Arthur .
Right click on it...'save as' and download to your puter.
Then post in advanced mode ....go to the paperclip sign and attach to your post here...if you don't have a photobucket account to save it on.

Oh ... you're seeing it, are you, Stewart? If so ... it means I must've followed Graham's instructions correctly after ALL!
Oh GREAT ... ! Tbh ... ... it had just been an experiment on my part ( overdoing it with the links since learning to use them - as Keith has rightly perceived).

... awww! maybe those who responded were just being nice. Here's me thinking I'd somehow managed.
Thing is ... I got as far as 'Right Clicking' and 'Save As'. Then (I think) an oblong 'Download' box appeared at the top left of my page and I probably clicked 'Save' for it too. But I couldn't get any further ... e.g., I wasn't sure what you meant by posting in 'Advanced Mode' ... nor could I see any sign looking like a 'Paperclip'.

Ok Arthur...maybe the place your computer saves things from the net is 'download' file. That is the box you see. Just need to remember where to find it. I always save things to 'desktop' = easier to find later, then I can re-file where I want it stored permanently.
Anyway, just click 'save' on the box that's opened, then it will be saved to that location on your computer.
To have your picture appear on your post here...
In the dialogue box here (reply box, or anywhere you type a message), next to 'post reply' is the 'go advanced' button. Press that one to get a new dialogue box to open with EXTRA FEATURES...like the paperclip (attachments) sign...top right.
When you press that (paperclip sign) button it will bring up a box where you (top right of it) select and upload a picture file from your computer. It will appear in your post/reply. To check....press the 'preview post' button, bottom right of reply box, then if ok, press 'submit reply'

Just try stuff til you get stuck Arthur, then we can see if we can progress it a little further for you. It's just practice mate.
I reckon I can google an image now, download it to my pc and upload it to here (or my picture storage site)...all within 30 secs.

Thanks again, Graham ... very much appreciated!
Oh ... and I'll certainly keep persevering - the way I did with learning the links - as I'm a firm believer in "practice makes perfect".
Having frequently marvelled at many of the superb images you've uploaded here on the forum, I can see you're a real whizz ... they're fantastic!

Yes, Michael ... my mum was a stickler for making sure my brother and I always wore a tie to school; indeed, (apart from it being a compulsory requirement to wear a tie in most jobs I had) I'm pretty certain her "influence" must've rubbed off - and become sort
of ingrained in me - since it's a habit I still tend to adhere to, as befits the occasion, to this very day.

's true, Peter ... one on either side of me and a whole bevy of them in front - not to mention the attractive young class teacher, Miss Johnston at the extreme right of the back row. (If she's still alive, she must be about 90 now, !)
Fred has kindly attached a *thumbnail for the benefit of those who were unable to view the picture I'd copied from 'Friends Reunited' at the outset. If members click on *this (as I hope they will) it should considerably ENLARGE the image - thus making it more discernible to the naked eye - and it'll be observed I'm 'a little' taller than my peers.
... bragging? ... now would I do such a thing?

I'll agree with what you say about your class teacher Arthur, you have good taste, when I was about twenty years of age I had a night of passion with a beautiful lady twice my age, never to be forgotten
