I've seen flights going with the Chinese Airlines for around £380.

Also, I've used TravelUp once before and encountered no issues

you know what China Airlines motto is?China Airlines......United we fly, united we die
They havent got a very good safety record they are 469% worse than the average accident rate, featuring in 3 of the top 50 most fatal accidents,I looked into them the other week when I was booking a ticket

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

    What a stupid motto .

I think China Airlines have improved somewhat. They were accident prone during the 90's but in the last ten years or so I don't think there's been a major incident.

I made the motto up if I was travelling alone no probs,I would fly them,if my kid was taking a flight no way,I would shell out a couple of extra hundred quid as 469% is quite a high percentage to gamble on.

It started off as Student Travel Association didn't it ?

I booked a ticket through them at York Uni' during their less heady days.

...£278 Manchester-Hong Kong return, on Aeroflot, 6 months after the Russian airline Captain's teenage son dove their new Airbus into the ground during his flight-deck birthday bash.

As Graham stated, STA Travel, they have an office in most University Towns or Cities throughout the UK, very good travel agents also very competitive, I've used them more than any other agent and more often than not cheaper than most Airline prices!

Flights are cheap..........................but....................30 hours !! Do you really want to be hanging around airports for hours? KLM flies direct to Manila in 15 hours, and Emirates usually takes 18-19 hours with a 3-hour stop in Dubai.

I thought KLM flew via Taipai now. Certainly not direct.

    Emirates are ok...as are Etihad.
