    Life goes by so quickly

Yes, they say that life goes by so quickly. But when you are young who cares? Life is for living, new adventures around every corner, not a care in the world.

Teenage years come, and you feel you are king of the world - you can do anything, attract anyone, well sometimes! Every weekend is a big party.

Then you realize that you have to work to pay for all this fun you are wanting and suddenly life is hard.

You marry, find a home and the family comes along. Work, then more work ... we don't have enough money!

If you are lucky you may stay together. But then again, you may not.

You may even get a second - or third - chance to find happiness again.

Life is passing you by very, very quickly now.

Eventually, the time hits you when you think, "hang about, I want to do this and that, and I am getting older and more easily tired too!!"

Time is going very, very fast for many.

Once you know you can take the chances again to try different things you've been longing for, GO for them! Yes, there will always be doubts and "MY GOD WHAT HAVE I DONE?" But hey, whats life other than for LIVING? Not thinking if only ...!

I'd rather regret the things I'd done that didn't work out than regret not having done them at all and then wondering what if.....

I've actually had misgivings in both those scenarios by the way.
Risk aversion often kicked in, however, happily no longer

    I must be turning Pinoy

Regret the things you didn't do - rather than the things you did. My kid's at Uni now. As soon as he graduates, I am saving for Everest.

It was summitted by an 80-year-old guy and I am a long way off that! There's hope for us all.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Mmm ... I shouldn't imagine you'll have much call for double-glazing with your itinerant lifestyle.

But come the time to settle ... it's worth fitting the best - fit Everest. !

Seriously, though, mate ... I hope you'll manage to fulfill your dream quest!

They say, live your life to the fullest. Now I used to think that meant taking risks, sky dive, mountain climbing, bungie jumping - or anything dangerous for an adrenaline buzz,

But it just means live YOUR LIFE to YOUR FULLEST. Whatever makes your life feel full and lived, happy and content.

We are only here the once. Only one chance to do what you want. It's harder to do the things you want as you get older, because some of those things were for you at a younger age. So don't let those chances pass you by!

Yes, sometimes we fall flat on our faces, but hey, we get up again, because life will not wait.

I've been to Base Camp 1, Arthur, just couldn't justify splashing the cash to attempt the peak while my kid was younger.

I did a couple of jumps last month, Imagine, still got my A licence.

I am not ready to push up daisies just yet - even though I have got a few aches and pains nowadays.

Everyone has one life, and as Nike says ........... Live it!

When I was young, I realised that being old (after 30 ) would be rubbish, so I made the most of my youth by doing the sort of things that can only be done...with dignity, when young.

At the risk of being foolish, I will continue until I`m at least 60 in an undignified manner.

The older I get, the less I care what these youngsters think!
If they are clever, they will watch and learn.

We had The Barangay fiesta disco the other night.
The heavy base on their audio equipment a good mile away was driving me insane at home..My TV was bouncing around the room etc.
So I decided to go down there buy some of their warm beer and give them my Michael Jackson dance routine..
They turned it down after that.

Sad to say I jumped out of a jeepney the other day before I'd paid because I couldn't stand the volume of that Budots.

Anyone not sure about Budots dance music then listen here:-

No way I can justify the costs just now Fred.

We've only just arrived, looking now for a second place to rent and also looking around for a bungalow to buy.

Let's try summer life in Davao City and let's see how the political scene might change before we finally decide where to settle down. That the time to invest in a place of our own and get some decent wheels.
    Just my thinking
