Hello and Help - need divorce advice

Hey, I am new to this forum, but wonder if anyone can help. Me and my filipino wife have been married for almost 5 years, she has indefinite leave to remain, as we could never afford to change to British citizenship. Unfortunately our marriage came to an end before Christmas. We got married first here in the UK in a Registry Office, then also had a marriage in a Catholic cathedral in the Philippines. We want to get a divorce, if I petition it here, will the divorce here be enough? Do I include both certificates? Will a divorce here be enough and allow us both to remarry in the future, either here or there? (I am British, she is a Filipina).

If anyone could help I would be really grateful.

As long as you will be the one to file the divorce, it will be recognised in the Philippines and both of you will be free to marry (even in the Philippines).

I'm not sure what you mean. Maybe others can help you with that.

It actually doesn't matter where you got married to secure a divorce.
The simplest and 'cleanest' would be to submit the British marriage certificate only.

I think you'll find that for divorce here both the British Citizen petitioner and Filipina respondent are able to remarry anywhere including the Philippines
