    Life In The UK Test

Hello everyone, I need help. I'm going to register and book my Life In The UK Test as soon as possible, and my question is: Am I allowed to take the test if my supporting document (proof of address) is in my name and my husband's name? Because the only proof of address I have is our joint bank statement, and it matches my valid ID.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes that will be fine. As long as it has your name that matches your passport or ID that you will present on the test date.

I remember when I studied for my Life in the UK Test. I remember spending day and night just to pass it first time. I only had 1 attempt (due to ILR application deadline) to do the test. I remember my last name and first name were wrong way round. But the main lady said it was fine and she changed it for me. I also had a bank statement as proof of address so I'm sure yours is fine. They are not that strict with names/addresses as long as it matches and they know you are you. It's a shame they don't tell you how many questions you answered correctly. I'm sure I got all right and I wanted to know my mark after studying for it . Anyway good luck on your test.

's no mean feat ... considering the exceptionally~high pass mark of 75% and above. Congratulations & well done!

    And
with you ... it IS, indeed, a shame they don't tell candidates their individual scores.

Can you share us your experience? I know it's still a long way for me to take the test as I am still on the process of applying for my first FLR.

I am also curious. How did the test experience go? I am now in the process of planning/preparing for this test. My husband and I did not realise that I am already qualified or allowed to take this test. I have a friend in Birmingham who took the test a year ago... I wonder if anything has changed. She is giving me her book, which she used to review for the test last year. I wonder if I should buy a new book or is it the same as last year's then I can just use my friend's old book?

The test changed in 2013. So if your friend took it last year, then she has the updated book.

Ask her if the books she has are these:

Thank you Raynaputi! Will ask my friend about which book she has, but there are so many books in this link that you just sent. Which one is it that I will need to read for my review? Thanks for the link by the way

Hello everyone, good news, I passed the Life in the UK Test. I took the Test last Wednesday.

    My advice is:

Read the Official Book many times and attempt hundreds of mock exam questions you can find on the internet. Questions books from TSO etc.

Congratulations, Jenny ... another "hurdle" out of the way!

May I also echo your words of encouragement to others about to take theirs ... I'm sure they'll be much appreciated.
