...And compare this to the hordes of illegal parasites being supported by the taxpayer.

    Crazy and disgraceful.

Should they have not checked the requirements before moving back? That's what everyone else has to do.

    Yes, they should have.
I'm guessing that they didn't have any idea on the immigration issues involved
They just innocently thought they could come.

Yep ... ; in all probability that would've been the case here.

Tbh ... ... until I'd met Myrna - and subsequently joined filipino/uk - I knew very little ('scuse pun) about immigration matters. Simply wasn't interested!

Arthur, I was just the same when I got married and we decided to come to England.
I thought my wife just needed to inform the British Embassy for a visa and that would be enough..........oh dear. Little did I know the challenges ahead.

One Pakistani girl gets shot (out of the thousands of innocents shot every day in this world), and she is brought to this country with her entire family.

She did well and won the Nobel Peace Prize. Part of the money she got from it was donated to rebuild schools in Palestine. She's one girl making a difference to fight extremists who prohibits children, particularly girls, getting education. She was specifically targeted by Taliban just because she's fighting for her right. I know a lot has died fighting for their rights, but just once, your government offered to help one individual (mind you, she and her family weren't the ones who contacted UK government).

My British in-laws said that she's better than the useless politicians here in the UK. They'd rather have her and her family here than the illegals that this government is keeping.

Yes, I'm aware of the full story Rayna.

I'm sure there are hundreds of such brave (or stupid ?) people in this world.

Perhaps more Nobel Peace Prizes should be given out ?

I would not consider her stupid for what she (or others fighting for their rights of education) did. Besides, a lot here complain about "how so barbaric" and "they're living in the past" these countries are, and calling the people who wants to just have an education stupid is something I can't understand why. I guess you'd rather these girls marry at the age of as young as 10 (or even younger)? By the way, the guy who won along with Malala also fights for children's rights in India.

I wonder how many of the people here in the forum would be doing what they're doing? A lot complain but not doing any action to change something.

I have sympathy for her condition but not her situation. She abandoned her kids for a life abroad then on her return expects preferential treatment via emotional blackmail - despite not having contributed anything to this country for the past twenty years.
