    Royal Brunei £515

I notice Royal Brunei via the PIC website have some offers on; from April the cost of a return London To Manila is £515. This is with a 2/3 hour wait in Brunei either way, and the last leg - Brunei to Manila - takes just over two hours. I quite fancy this! Maybe get a nap in Brunei for a couple of hours prior to getting over to Manila.

Notes outbound short connection (Lhr to Mnl) Mon/Wed/Thu/Sun
inbound short connection (Mnl to Lhr) Wed / Sun.

This price of £515 runs through until the end of November 2015, but Flights have to be booked by Feb 10th. So I may wait a few weeks to see if any other Airline moves down, and then take up this offer 1st week in Feb. But this price is looking very competitive, and the short waiting time is attractive.

Better than my Cathay flight at £580 because we have 8 hours to wait going out at Hong Kong and 9 hours on return. The time waiting doesn't bother me because sometimes, when I've used Singapore Airlines, it was 22 hours. I think the best I've ever had was KLM - 1 hour but I hated the airline!

I've used either Etihad or Emirates this last 3 trips (from Manchester).

Both good on price and not bad on connection duration if you select the right departure times.

I go direct to their respective websites.

I think Etihad was £555 yesterday.

I read somewhere that Brunei has the newest fleet of planes in the world. Whether that's still true is open to discussion.

Could be true, but Qatar have already got an A350 on the tarmac!
