Exclamation Hotels and Flights questions combined please

    Hi

I'm possibly going to go to Cebu in March and have a few questions please.

    1) I would like a hotel near Manila Airport that can offer a pick-up and drop-off service. Any suggestions?? The Marriot Hotel comes up highly recommended on Tripadvisor

    2) Can I fly straight to Cebu or do I need a stopover in Manila?

    3) What is the best internal Airline as I will probably have 30kg of luggage from my International flight?

    4) Changing money over: In Thailand if you take English money they won't accept it with marks, writing or tears on it. Is this the case in Philippines as well?

    Thanks
    Nigel

You can fly to Cebu. Call Philippine Island Connections (PIC) on 02074048877. You will also get a decent price for your flight!

Got back from Cebu last week via Hong Kong (Cathay Pacific). Much better than going via Manila...... cheap hotel in Manduae, Cebu - 10 mins from airport (The Copenhagen) Php1,000 a night, very clean and good wifi. Or the Express Inn Mactan. Also Express Inn in Cebu.

Yes it is. They have 2 hotels. That's the main one (with a nice coffee shop). The other one is nearer to the Old Bridge. It is the Copenhagen East Residence, Cortes Avenue. Both are clean. Also take a look at 'R Suites Hotel' - also new and clean - all on Agoda ....... if you do book one of these, just book for a night or two, then pay at the check in, because it's cheaper than booking on Agoda or any of those sites.

Yes - that can happen anywhere in the world - best to take new /bigger bills.

Might be the case in some hotels but sometimes Agoda can be cheaper than direct to hotel. Check both.

Cathay Pacific (via Hong Kong) and Singapore Airlines (via Singapore) to go directly to Cebu. I have a number of relatives who prefer to land in Cebu to save the hassle from Manila
