Killer drivers
Is it me, or have others noticed?? That drivers seem to want to kill other drivers - they push in, drive so fast and then put their brakes on expecting you to stop. And if you do get out of the car - well, I think if they had a gun they would kill you

Truckers are starting to annoy me by pushing into the middle of lane of the motorway and expecting traffic to make rash manoeuvres into the outside lane. They're so impatient they can't wait a couple of seconds for you to pass. Then there's the one's who can't be bothered to stop at a roundabout and pull out at 10mph making you brake suddenly.
They used to be good courteous drivers too. Maybe it's the younger generation.

Everyone in a hurry. Under pressure. Stressed out.
I've given that life up now. Not worth it.

It would be interesting to see the stats on who is causing the accidents/traffic snarl-ups these days...and their origins.
Probably not permitted by the PC brigade.

Unbelievable.
Two lorry drivers accused of swapping seats while driving an HGV along a motorway have been charged with dangerous driving.
Goran Zaric, 42, and Milos Ravic, 36, were allegedly spotted changing positions inside the vehicle's cab by police on the M5 near Worcester.
The pair, from Serbia, were arrested between junctions seven and eight soon after 16:20 GMT on Wednesday.
Both men appeared before Kidderminster Magistrates' Court.
They were granted unconditional bail and ordered to appear at Worcester Crown Court on 23 March.

Yes its amazing seeing how they drive in the phils, but one thing i did notice, there was no horns blaring out and people swearing at each other, yes if there was a gap 5 vehicles tried to get into it, but that was part of the fun watching it, hay ho each to there own

Thanks Alan.
The UK figures only go up to 2010 on those statistics, unfortunately.
...Been some major changes on who is driving what and from where during the past 4 years.

My post was based on the latest WHO global road safety report available. There are more recent estimates for the UK here :-

My update on drink driving might also be of interest :-

I drive each time we visit The Philippines. I am responsible for me and my wife and any family we transport around, I want the best possible outcome (I have to tell the passengers to buckle up every time!). I enjoy driving and do not find it stressful in the Philippines, I am a very assertive driver and my spidey senses are on overdrive when I am driving (which I enjoy 'cos I'm weird). I do find it amusing though when people get impatient and overtake along the hard shoulder etc. So much bad driving, but if they've never been taught better then that is normal to them.
Since traffic is often moving so slowly you don't get as many bumps as you would expect.
