Not sure how accurate this story is as I was in the area at this time and there were no queues around J10a northbound and traffic was travelling southbound. Furthermore the services are nearby so why didn't they take them there instead of closing the whole motorway. Where's the logic in that?

There was however a multiple vehicle accident one junction before at around the same time.
