Lightbulb Online Shopping Mall in the Philippines

Bayan Mall makes it easier for OFWs to provide for their families’ needs by offering online shopping similar to visiting a local grocery store.

Bayan Mall gives Filipinos working abroad a way to easily purchase groceries and other items for their family back home through an online store that offers all the basic necessities. There’s a shipping fee included in the overall price. However the deliveries are made from within the Philippines to anywhere in the country so it’s cheaper compared to shipping overseas.

Bayan Mall Corporation has its headquarters located along Don Julian Rodriguez Sr. Avenue in Davao City with several departments including Human Resources Sales & Marketing and Logistics. As an overseas Filipino workers online grocery store it is the first of its kind. The shopping venue similar to a mall helps OFWs feel “as if they were in the Philippines themselves.”

All that is needed to begin shopping is a computer and an internet connection since anyone online can buy products from the store. There are several categories available – groceries rice cakes even lechon (roast pig) for special occasions. Other supplies like mobile phones cameras and motorcycles are also available.

The website’s frequently-asked questions (FAQ) page includes instructions on how to purchase items from Bayan Mall whether one has an account or not. The former though is recommended since one no longer needs to fill in details like one’s address. It is in fact similar to online shopping with the use of a virtual ‘shopping cart’ and checking the items out once done selecting.

Afterwards confirmation – including the order number – is sent to the user’s e-mail account. This helps keep track of the purchase. There is a minimum amount per order but registration is free.

Generally there are two options for payment. One can choose to pay through either PayPal or Credit and Debit Payment; or bank transfers or money remittance.

Several major banks are supported including Banco de Oro (BDO) Metrobank and BPI. Transfers and remittances can be done through a number of entities as well including myRemit and Xoom.

Several OFWs have already begun using the service and expressed great satisfaction with the results. One woman working in the United Arab Emirates said “Super na-surprise si Nanay sa cake and flowers (Mother was super surprised at the cake and flowers)…Thanks for the help to make it happen.”

Others have had similar reactions surprised and pleased at the efficiency of the deliveries and the convenience of being able to buy products for their families.

Even though Bayan Mall’s operations teams collect and process orders only on Mondays through Saturdays from 9AM to 6PM people may actually place their orders any time during the week. Delivery method may also be done over land over sea or through air depending on the package.

The intended recipient usually receives the package within 3 to 7 working days after order placement. In case a product is unavailable the corporation may replace it with the same from a different brand. This is done to ensure that the buyer gets the quality and value they paid for without delaying delivery.

With the positive response from those who’ve used the service Bayan Mall is sure to be the best choice when it comes to Filipino online shopping in Dubai Kuwait and anywhere else OFWs find themselves.
