    Painting day

Well today I have managed to start painting the bathroom ceiling, Ems is working all day, my daughter is out. God knows where my son is, it's been 5 days since he said 'bye, so the house is empty.

2 coats already done and in between coats I can play on the laptop.

What a nice day so far!

    I hate painting ceilings

Apart from the mess I hope you don't end up making a visit to your local chiropractor

It's only a small room but with window open wide and door open it's drying very quickly, plus I started 7 hours ago

Steve..I was a painter for 25 years or more. Most of my domestic work calls were from women married to men like you!!
    Cheers,
    fred!

Like my father before me, ... I much prefer wallpapering to painting. Less messy and a lot more satisfying ... ... at least in the sense that you get a clearer idea of the progress you've made with each piece hung.

Don't suggest doing the ceiling this way, of course ... though I have papered the long sloping 45 degree angle parts above a staircase in my time.

I have papered both Arthur, staircase and ceiling, the ceiling I gave 5 coats to is where the shower is, so I wanted a few coats up there to help with condensation from all that water

Ah ... I can see your logic there, Steve. should certainly prove worthwhile - adding extra coats to keep condensation at bay on a bathroom ceiling especially.

... acts as a pretty effective sealant!
