    Interesting article by Carter. Sounds like there's an element of British pondlife in Manila too.

    Must confess that I haven't witnessed that kind of behavior in Manila in my visits yet. However after my latest visit last month to Boracay I vowed never to return. There's just too many lowlife there now and it does get to you after a while.
    When you see loads of Arabs pointing to their crotch and asking Filipina girls how much even in McDonalds of an evening it winds you up. I had my 2 daughters with me this time and although they loved the place and the weather, I think it's got a little to seedy and I don't intend returning. I think it will be Palawan next time for me.
